Mukti is running the Mangrove Sapling Plantation Program till last week. At first phase, 400 saplings were planted at Purba Sridharpur village. Women workers who are working under “Food for Work” project from the said village are nurturing those saplings.
At the second phase Mukti has planted around 1200 saplings beside the river “Mony”. 15 women from the model village (Purba Sridharpur) participated in this program. The saplings were brought by a boat at the time of low tide. Mukti has a target of planting 1 lakh saplings around the 10 blocks (action area of Mukti).
Mukti is grateful to “AID”, the associated partner who has extended their hands for restoring nature to its past days. Thus, they are helping not only nature but also mankind whose survivals are depending upon this forest.
On coming days Mukti will plant more Mangrove saplings. Let us protect the offspring of nature to keep us safe by mitigating the damage from such horrifying cyclones like Amphan.
