Mukti is currently undertaking an expansion project at the Mukti library premises, which includes extending the guest house building and canteen. The new room being constructed has dimensions of 24 feet in width and 5 feet in length. The construction work commenced in the first week of June 2023, and it is estimated to be completed within the next three months.
Mukti is currently undertaking the reconstruction of the bathing wharf at the Sustainable Agricultural Movement (SAM) office. As part of this project, the middle bank of the two ponds within SAM’s campus has been intentionally breached to create a new pond. On the northern side of the pond, a sturdy concrete wharf is being constructed to provide a designated area for bathing. The wharf is designed with a depth of 20 feet, with 10 feet of water available for usage.
This initiative brings immense benefits to the surrounding community, as approximately 20 families now have access to the pond for their household and bathing needs. The availability of clean and accessible water from the pond greatly enhances the quality of life for these families, ensuring a convenient and hygienic water source right within their vicinity. Mukti’s efforts in reconstructing the SAM office bathing wharf exemplify their commitment to fostering sustainable practices and improving the well-being of the local community.
