Celebrating Teachers, Celebrating Learning: Teachers’ Day Across MKSS and MSS

This Teachers’ Day, students across Mukti Kishalaya Support Schools (MKSS) and Mukti Support Schools (MSS) came together in their respective schools to celebrate the teachers who guide, encourage, and inspire them every day.

Teachers’ Day at Mukti Kishalaya Support Schools (MKSS)

Across 40 Mukti Kishalaya Support Schools (MKSS) in four districts of West Bengal, around 1,700 students and 120 teachers participated in Teachers’ Day celebrations filled with appreciation, creativity, and joy.

Each MKSS organised the celebration in its own capacity, keeping the occasion simple and community-led. The children took centre stage and expressed their love and gratitude for their teachers through songs, recitations, dances, and cultural performances.

The celebrations gave students an opportunity to express themselves, participate collectively, and confidently showcase their talents. For the teachers, it was a meaningful reminder of the important role they play in nurturing and supporting children throughout their learning journey.

Across all 40 schools, the celebrations carried a common message: when teachers inspire, children gain the confidence to learn, express themselves, and grow.

Teachers’ Day at Mukti Support Schools (MSS)

Mukti Support Schools (MSS) also celebrated Teachers’ Day with great enthusiasm and happiness.

Students marked the occasion with songs, dances, and other cultural performances, expressing their affection, respect, and gratitude towards their teachers.

The celebrations created a warm and joyful environment within the schools and provided a special opportunity for students and teachers to come together beyond their regular classroom activities.

The occasion celebrated not only the contribution of teachers but also the values of learning, respect, gratitude, and togetherness that strengthen the relationship between teachers and students.

Across both MKSS and MSS, Teachers’ Day became an opportunity to recognise the people who make learning possible every day while giving children the space to celebrate, participate, and express their appreciation in their own way.
