On 8 September 2026, MUKTI organised a medical camp at the Raidighi MCDF Office, providing free health check-ups and essential medicines to more than 120 villagers from the surrounding communities.

The camp was led by MCDF Senior Lead Manashi Haldar, MCDF & Swastha Shongini Lead Joba Kopat, along with local women leaders, whose coordination and community outreach helped ensure strong participation. The response from villagers reflected both the need for accessible healthcare services and the trust that such community-based initiatives continue to build.

A medical team from Bhagirathi Neotia Hospital provided consultations and care throughout the programme. Despite a prolonged three-and-a-half-hour power outage and difficult weather conditions, the doctors continued attending to patients with patience and commitment.

MUKTI also extends its sincere gratitude to Neotia Bhagirathi Woman and Child Care Centre and coordinator Rishita Saha for their continued support over the past two years. Their contribution has included doctors, medicines and nutrition support for malnourished children in the community, strengthening ongoing healthcare efforts in the region.

The enthusiasm and hope among community members also brought forward requests for similar medical camps to be organised in more villages, highlighting the continuing need for affordable and accessible healthcare in rural areas.

Through initiatives like this, MUKTI remains committed to bringing healthcare, medicines, nutrition support and compassionate care closer to communities that need them most.
