Virtual Value Education Training Launched Across MKSS Clusters

Mukti Kishalaya Support School (MKSS) has successfully launched its Virtual Value Education Training Programme across all 40 MKSS centres spanning four districts of West Bengal, marking an important step towards strengthening value-based learning and nurturing positive values among children.

The programme began with an Introductory Session, conducted cluster-wise every Friday from late June through the end of July. A total of 120 teachers participated in these sessions, which introduced the fundamentals of life skills and core human values such as honesty, truthfulness, kindness, and respect. Through engaging short stories and real-life examples, facilitators demonstrated how these values can be made relatable and integrated effectively into everyday classroom teaching.

Building on this foundation, the Training of Trainers (TOT) phase commenced on 7 August 2026, with a focus on strengthening teachers’ facilitation skills and equipping them with practical techniques to conduct Value Education sessions with children. The inaugural TOT session brought together 40 participants, including cluster coordinators, trainers, and the Programme Manager.

The training sessions have been highly interactive, encouraging teachers to participate actively, reflect on their classroom experiences, and share inspiring examples of positive behavioural changes they have witnessed among children. These discussions have helped create a shared learning environment where teachers can exchange experiences and explore effective ways of bringing value-based education into their classrooms.

The enthusiastic participation and response from teachers reflect MKSS’s continued commitment to strengthening teacher capacity and nurturing compassionate, responsible, and value-driven young learners. Through sustained training and classroom-based application, the programme aims to make life skills and human values an integral part of children’s learning and development.
