As part of its continued commitment to improving the quality of education, Mukti’s Mukti Support School (MKSS) project organised a comprehensive Teachers’ Training Programme at Purbashridharpur Sabuj Kunja on 4 July 2026. The programme brought together 27 teachers from 14 MKSS schools for a day of learning, collaboration, and professional development aimed at strengthening classroom practices and promoting student well-being.
The training session, held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., was facilitated by Mr. Subrata Naskar, MKSS Project Coordinator and Trainer. Designed to enhance teachers’ instructional skills, the session focused on effective classroom management, with particular emphasis on the common Do’s and Don’ts of classroom teaching. Through practical examples, discussions, and real-life classroom scenarios, participants explored strategies to create a more engaging, inclusive, and student-friendly learning environment.
Alongside classroom management techniques, teachers also received conceptual training on key areas of English grammar, including Number, Person, Gender, Parts of Speech, and Tense, along with sentence transformation. The interactive approach encouraged participants to share their classroom experiences, discuss challenges, and exchange best practices, making the learning process both practical and collaborative.
Following the training, a virtual awareness session on “School Children: Basic Health & First Aid” was conducted from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. by Ms. Sonamon Basu, Health Program Manager. Before the session began, First Aid Boxes were distributed to all participating teachers, equipping their schools with essential resources to respond to minor medical emergencies and enhance student safety.
The health awareness session focused on recognising common health issues among school children, administering basic first aid, responding appropriately during emergencies, and maintaining a safe and healthy school environment. Teachers were encouraged to become active advocates for student health by identifying early signs of illness, responding confidently to emergencies, and promoting healthy practices within their schools.
The participants appreciated both sessions for their practical relevance and interactive nature. By combining pedagogical training with health and safety awareness, the programme reinforced the important role teachers play not only in shaping academic success but also in ensuring the overall well-being of their students.
Through regular capacity-building initiatives like these, the MKSS Project continues to empower educators with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to create safe, inclusive, and effective learning environments, ultimately contributing to better educational outcomes and holistic child development.
