To keep students motivated and aligned with their academic goals, the Mukti TSS team organized a virtual sponsor–student interaction on 18th February between the sponsor, Mr. Nitin V. Kotak, and his sponsored students — Sumana Gayen, Poulami Bera, and Banasree Jana. The meeting marked their first interaction through a digital platform.

Mukti is deeply grateful to Mr. Nitin V. Kotak for extending his generous support to three deserving and talented students who, due to financial constraints, might otherwise have struggled to continue their education.

Mr. Nitin V. Kotak is the Co-founder, Trustee, and Treasurer of the Kolkata Foundation. He has been associated with Mukti TSS since the academic year 2020–21. His organisation has supported Mukti in various initiatives, which later led to his direct involvement in the TSS programme. He is also associated with several other NGOs. Originally from Bhawanipur, Kolkata, he is currently based in the USA (Washington DC, Maryland area).

Sumana Gayen
Sumana is currently pursuing B.A. (3rd Year) at Raidighi College. Her father is a farmer and is currently under medical treatment, making it extremely challenging for the family to manage both household and educational expenses. Despite these hardships, Sumana remains determined and aspires to become a Professor in the future.

Poulami Bera
Poulami is pursuing B.Com (Accounting & Finance) from Shibshatri College. She stays in Garia for her studies. During her college tenure, she completed an internship, gaining practical exposure in her field. Her ambition is to build her career as an Accountant.

Banasree Jana
Banasree is a B.A. LL.B. (4th Year) student, specializing in Criminal Law. Born and brought up in Raidighi, she currently stays in a mess at Diamond Harbour for her studies. She dreams of becoming a Criminal Lawyer and has a strong interest in criminology. Apart from academics, she enjoys playing cricket.

During the interaction, the students shared their academic progress, challenges, and future aspirations. Mr. Kotak warmly interacted with each of them, shared his personal experiences, and motivated them to stay focused and determined despite obstacles.

Mr. Kotak expressed his happiness and appreciation for the students’ dedication and performance.

The students expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Kotak for his generous support and mentorship. They requested his continued guidance until they achieve their dream careers.
