A meeting of the Soft Toy Federation was held on 15th June 2026 at the Kankandighi Branch Office under the SWAS Project, with the participation of 15 federation members engaged in soft toy production and related livelihood activities. The meeting served as an important platform for members to review the progress of their enterprises, discuss challenges, and explore opportunities for strengthening their businesses in the future.
A major focus of the session was on developing strategies to help beneficiaries grow their enterprises in a sustainable manner. Discussions were held on improving product quality, increasing production efficiency, exploring new market opportunities, and building stronger customer networks. Members were also encouraged to think about long-term business planning and the steps required to make their ventures more profitable and self-sustaining.
The need for advanced training and skill enhancement was another key topic of discussion. Participants expressed interest in receiving further training on improved soft toy design, finishing techniques, quality control, packaging, and marketing. Such capacity-building initiatives were identified as important for helping beneficiaries remain competitive and meet changing market demands.
