On the crisp winter morning of 27 December 2025, Kolkata’s Maidan became the track for yet another step toward healthier food systems and collective wellbeing. At 7:00 AM, 18 committed participants joined Mukti to take part in the second activation run under the ‘Run for Safe Food 2026’ campaign.
The Maidan run followed the momentum set earlier at Rabindra Sarobar, reinforcing the campaign’s growing reach and public engagement. With each stride, runners carried forward the message that health is inseparable from what we consume—pointing to the urgent need for organic, toxin-free, and safe food accessible to all.
Participants shared reflections on responsible food choices, the role of fitness in daily life, and how informed communities can influence sustainable agriculture practices. The run served not only as a physical warm-up ahead of the larger event but also as a reminder that community-driven movements begin with small, consistent actions.
As Mukti progresses toward Run for Safe Food 2026, more such engagements across Kolkata and rural Bengal will continue to spread awareness and mobilise participation. The Maidan morning closed with optimism and shared purpose—affirming that a healthier tomorrow starts with today’s conscious choices, taken together.
