On 13th June 2025, MUKTI organized a Cervical Cancer Screening and Awareness Camp at Raidighi, with active support from the medical team of Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute (CNCI), Kolkata.
The camp aimed to raise awareness about cervical cancer prevention and early detection among rural women. A total of 50 women participated in the awareness session, where the visiting medical experts sensitized them about the risks, symptoms, preventive measures, and importance of regular screening for cervical cancer.
Following the awareness program, 32 women voluntarily underwent cervical cancer screening tests. The medical team ensured a smooth and respectful process, addressing individual concerns and providing guidance throughout.
As informed by the hospital representatives, the screening reports will be shared after two weeks. In a significant and compassionate move, CNCI has committed to offering complete free treatment to any woman who tests positive during this screening.
This initiative is part of MUKTI’s ongoing efforts to strengthen women’s health and preventive care services in rural areas through meaningful partnerships and community outreach.
