The Mukti SURYA programme, formerly known as the Mukti Employment Exchange, has expanded with the opening of a new training centre in South 24 Parganas. Located at Shri Ramakrishna Paramhansadev Lokshikska Pathabhavan, Raidighi, Srifaltala (Gayenpara), near Srifaltala High School, this new facility aims to provide local youth with the skills and resources needed to secure meaningful employment.
Supported by Asha for Education, the SURYA programme (Supporting Unemployed Rural Youth Accomplishing their Goal) has been empowering young individuals for the past two years. The programme offers a comprehensive three-month training curriculum that includes courses in Retail & DTP, Spoken English, Basic IT, Advanced Excel, Personality Development, and Interview Preparation. This diverse range of skills is designed to help participants compete in the job market and pursue their professional aspirations.
The training sessions are structured to provide maximum flexibility for participants, with class timings of 4 hours a day, 3 days a week. The eligibility criteria include an age limit of 18 to 27 years and a minimum of higher secondary education. Despite the comprehensive nature of the programme, participants are required to pay only a low registration fee, ensuring accessibility to a wide demographic of rural youth.
In addition to the training, Mukti also offers 100% job placement assistance through a network of employers and recruitment agencies. This crucial support ensures that participants not only gain valuable skills but also have access to real job opportunities, making the transition from training to employment smoother and more effective.
Through the SURYA programme, Mukti is bridging the gap between rural talent and employment opportunities, helping young individuals build meaningful careers and achieve their professional goals. With its new centre in Raidighi, the programme is poised to make a significant impact on the lives of local youth, providing them with the tools they need to succeed in today’s competitive job market.
