In the wake of Cyclone Remal, which devastated several river embankments in the Sundarbans, Mukti has taken swift and decisive action to repair the damage. These embankments are crucial for protecting the region from flooding and further erosion, and the cyclone’s relentless force significantly compromised them. Mukti promptly initiated the rebuilding and repair of the 1 km river embankment at Uttar Mokamberia, Charanekhali village, in the Basanti Block of the 24 Parganas district. About 500 meters of this embankment were partially damaged. Mukti’s dedicated team has been working tirelessly to restore these barriers, using natural techniques and resilient materials to ensure long-lasting protection. Their efforts not only safeguard the local communities but also reinforce the region’s defenses against future natural disasters, underscoring Mukti’s commitment to the safety and well-being of the Sundarbans’ inhabitants.
