Threads of Empowerment: Artistry Workshop by Mukti and Eastern Navigation

Mukti, in association with “Eastern Navigation Pvt Ltd,” organized a skill development initiative named “Threads of Expression.” Commencing in Septemeber 2023, this workshop is designed to empower marginalized women by imparting valuable artistry skills, ultimately promoting livelihood opportunities. Currently taking place at the Mukti office in Purba Sridharpur, the workshop has been a platform for these women to enhance their capabilities.

Over the past few months, the implementation team conducted a survey where they interacted with several community members via focused group discussions. The beneficiaries were selected based on their interest in the particular field and their zeal to be an entrepreneurs. For the last three months, the selected participants have undergone comprehensive training in the fundamentals of drawing concepts. Now, equipped with newfound skills, these women are channeling their creativity to craft exquisite designs on garments. The project has successfully engaged and trained a total of 20 women, unlocking their potential and paving the way for a brighter future.
