123 Tarpaulin Sheets Were Provided to the Yaas Affected Families

The Yaas survivors are slowly finding their way to normalize their daily life after a massive flood hit Sundarban just a month before. Mukti, to protect their houses and their belongings started to distribute tarpaulin from the very first week after the disaster. 621 families after receiving the tarpaulin were able to cover their shelters and save them from rain and the scorching sun.

Mukti volunteers made their way through the flood waters carrying tarpaulin sheets to reach the villages that were completely cut off and distribute aid to people taking shelter on the embankments and roads. Their homes and cattle sheds were submerged in the water.

To rebuild their houses and to make a little shelter over their head Mukti is continuing the tarpaulin distribution drive. This week Mukti helped 123 extremely needy and poor families with tarpaulin sheets.
