Training Workshop for Teachers of Mukti Kishalay Support School

On May 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM, a special training workshop was organized by Mukti for the teachers of Mukti Kishalay Support Schools from the regions of Harop, Haturia, Natibpur, and Adra. The session took place at B.N.S. Girls’ High School in Natibpur (Bagnan, Howrah) and was supported by Epic Agro Products Pvt. Ltd.

The training was graced by the presence of respected Shri Madhusudan Bairagi, a core member of Mukti, along with trainers Shri Shubho Jana and Shri Subrata Naskar, and Project Coordinator Shri Bidyut Sapui. Teachers from Bagnan MSS and volunteers Shri Sanjoy Byaborta and Shri Soumitra Kumar Mishra were also present.

In his session, Shri Subrata Naskar elaborated on the stages of a child’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development, explaining how these aspects contribute to a child’s pedagogical growth. He discussed various learning styles such as visual, auditory, kinaesthetic, and trust-based learning, emphasizing that teachers should adapt their methods according to the learner’s needs. To make learning more engaging, he encouraged the use of music, open-ended questions, and technology.

In the latter part of the training, Shri Madhusudan Bairagi and Shri Shubho Jana focused on foundational mathematics, including concepts such as prime numbers, composite numbers, place value, and face value. They offered simplified approaches to teaching fractions, addition, subtraction, division, LCM, and HCF in a step-by-step manner.

The workshop proved to be highly informative and inspirational for all participating teachers. They extended heartfelt thanks to Mukti and expressed a strong interest in attending more such training sessions in the future.
