Shaping Classrooms of Tomorrow: Mukti’s Teacher Training for MSS

Teacher training plays a crucial role in equipping educators with the skills and strategies necessary for effective teaching. On 28th September 2024, Mukti organized a dynamic training program for 26 teachers from 9 Mukti Support Schools (MSS) at the Uttar Kankandighi office. The session was entirely activity-based and participatory, with teachers actively engaging in techniques they agreed to implement in their daily classrooms to foster a positive and productive learning environment.

The training focused on equipping teachers with strategies to offer quality learning opportunities to students of all abilities, tailoring instruction to meet the diverse needs of their classrooms. This hands-on approach helped teachers refine their time management and organizational skills, enabling them to plan more effectively. To stay abreast of modern educational practices, the teachers engaged in interactive activities such as circle time, thumbs up/thumbs down, and hands-up activities, all designed to promote active learning and classroom participation.

A special session on mindful listening through storytelling was also conducted, emphasizing its importance in developing attentive, engaged students. Mukti’s vision for its classrooms includes active learning strategies, personalized instruction, and technology integration, all aimed at creating a student-friendly, innovative learning environment. The teachers expressed their commitment to incorporating techniques like circle time and talking boxes in their lessons and requested additional training sessions in the future to continue enhancing their teaching methods.
