Mukti celebrated Rabindrajayanti—the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore—with vibrant cultural fervour across its support schools in multiple districts of West Bengal, including East and West Midnapore, Jhargram, South 24 Parganas, the Sunderbans, Murshidabad, and Jalpaiguri. The event paid homage to the legendary poet, philosopher, and Nobel Laureate whose works continue to inspire generations.
Students at each centre took centre stage, enthusiastically participating in a variety of cultural programs that celebrated the life and legacy of Tagore. Performances included soulful renditions of Rabindra Sangeet, poetry recitations, dance performances based on Tagore’s compositions, and floral tributes. The celebrations fostered a sense of reverence and creativity, echoing Tagore’s vision of holistic education and artistic expression.
A special highlight of this year’s celebration took place at the Jharmatiyali centre in Lataguri, where Dr. Jayanta Roy, Member of Parliament, attended as the chief guest. His presence added a sense of pride and motivation for both students and educators, making the day even more memorable.
The Rabindrajayanti celebration reaffirmed Mukti’s dedication to instilling cultural values and artistic appreciation among its students. Through such events, Mukti continues to nurture not only academic growth but also the cultural and moral development of the young minds it serves.
