On 27th September 2024, Mukti organized a comprehensive training program for Mukti Kishalaya Support School (MKSS) teachers at Muktangan, Purba Sridharpur. The day-long session was packed with interactive activities aimed at enhancing teaching techniques. In the first half, Teacher Subrata Naskar led a captivating session on the effective use of TLM (Teaching Learning Materials) for different age groups at the primary level. He demonstrated how specific TLMs aid in developing eye-hand coordination, aesthetic sense, concentration, and motor skills in children, ensuring a holistic approach to learning.
Sr. Project Manager Ananya Chatterjee conducted an engaging session focused on classroom management and student engagement. Through hands-on activities, teachers learned strategies to foster an inclusive and democratic classroom environment, emphasizing respect and avoiding discriminatory practices, such as comparing or favoring students. Ananya also trained the teachers on how to introduce written work for Class 1 students, stressing the importance of recognizing and identifying letters and associating numbers with concepts like counting, comparison, and measurement to ensure children grasp their true meaning.
A total of 26 Kishalay Support School teachers from 12 centers participated in the program, which concluded with an inspiring speech by Shri. Madhusudan Bairagi, leaving the teachers motivated and prepared to implement these new approaches in their classrooms.
