Millions of people around the world lack access to basic necessities, such as food, clean water, sanitation, medicine, shelter, education, books, fun, family, laughter, love – but there is hope. Mukti TSS students, the future of the nation are helping poor people to have a better future in a number of ways. They are volunteering their time and efforts to support the needy which is making a very big impact. They are taking part in various social charities. They are committed to their work and Mukti is proud of having such amazing students as Mukti thinks no effort is too small or too large to make a difference.
Rahul Sarkar Providing Free Tuition and Books
Rahul is pursuing MBBS 1st year from Midnapore medical college. He lives with his parents in Katrabali village, P.O – Sandhipur of Paschim Medinipur district. His father is a farmer and works in some others people’s land. His mother sometimes helps his father. They work hard from dawn to evening to up bring their child. Rahul is a meritorious student. He has scored 95.57% in Madhyamik and 92.6% in Higher Secondary Examination. Despite the severe financial crisis his parents always encourage him to continue his studies. They want to see him as a doctor in the future. But it is not possible for them to arrange a huge amount of money for the medical degree Rahul is aspiring for.
With a lot of hope, Rahul applied to Mukti TSS (Talented Student Sponsorship) for sponsorship and his luck has been favored when GSCA (Garden State Cultural Association) selected him as their sponsor student.
Besides his studies, Rahul is providing free tuition to a student. Along with the tuition he has also provided his old books to him to develop the educational standard of the needy student.
Asmita Chakraborty Caring the Patients and Making People Aware of Health Issues
Ashmita Chakraborty resides at Saltora village, PO-Salbedia, PS-Gangajalghati in Bankura district of West Bengal. She has four family members in her family. Currently, she is pursuing B.Sc in 3rd year nursing from Govt. College of Nursing, Bankura Sammilani Medical College. Her father was diagnosed with cancer when she is about to sit for the Higher Secondary Examination in 2019. Since then he has been unable to work. As his father is the sole breadwinner in their family, they are in dire financial straits. The physical suffering of her father devastated her emotionally. At that time, his maternal uncle and aunt stand by them, they take her father to Mumbai for treatment. It has become impossible for her mother to raise money for her education as well as for household expenses. But she did not succumb to fate. She bet that she will become a nurse and will dedicate her life to serving the needy.
Fascinated by his perseverance GSCA selected her as their sponsor student.
In December 2021 she has provided nursing care to 7 poor and needy people patients in the hospital. Besides she has checked the blood pressure of village people, help them in filling up forms, provided health education regarding various health issues and distributed study material.
Hitangshu Sarkar Participated In Medical Camp and Distributed Food
Hitangshu is pursuing 3rd professional BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery) from J.B. Roy State Ayurvedic Medical College and hospital. His parents passed away in his childhood. He used to live in his maternal house. None of the other family members support him in his studies. Financial constraints forced him to manage his study expenses by doing private tuition. He has to live in a hostel. At the same time, it is not possible for him to bear the hostel cost and tuition fees. But he wants to get established after completing his studies. With that indomitable will, he aggrieved for the sponsorship of Mukti TSS.
He thanked GSCA for their generosity and for selecting him for sponsorship.
In October 2022 he participated in a medical camp and distributed food to 120 distressed people.
Ayantika Naskar Providing Free Tuition
Ayantika is pursuing a B. Sc nursing 1st year from NRS Medical College and Hospital. She lives with her parents at Naridana village, PS – Baruipur of South 24 Parganas district. Her father has a grocery shop. By running the shop her father earns bread for their family. In the future, she wants to become a reputed doctor. She wants to qualify for MBBS. The money earned from the shop does not enough to support their family, education is a far way away. But she is blessed with a supportive family who is eagerly waiting to see their daughter becoming a doctor.
She has applied to Mukti TSS in the hope of getting sponsorship to make her parents and her dream come true. She was selected by GSCA.
We are being taught every day to give back to society. What better way than to help the needy by educating them so that they can have a decent chance to lead a life of integrity and escape from the depths of poverty. Inspired by this thought in January 2022 Ayantika has provided tuition to a school student free of cost and is still continuing.
