Mukti-TCS Volunteer Mr. Soumitra Biswas Has Been Awarded the Best Social Worker

In the corona era, if the common person could live their lives safely and comfortably, it is all because of covid warriors. These selfless human beings, either individually or through their social organizations, served the people at the risk of their own lives during the pandemic.

On Monday, 9^th May 2022 Mr. Soumitra Biswas one of the Mukti – TCS volunteers has been felicitated as the best social worker at an event organized by the Machlandapur 1 no Gram Panchayat, Machkandapur, North 24 Parganas district for his outstanding contribution to society during the critical times of the Covid pandemic. In front of the respected people of the society, the BDO and the Panchayat Pradhan awarded him. Machandapur Machlandapur 1 no Gram Panchayat has already received the all India recognition for disaster management response. Machlandapur Panchayat has been awarded the first prize in the Gram Panchayat category.

At the time of the second wave of Covid-19 Mukti has launched one “Covid Care Unit” with 2 oxygen concentrators for the Covid patients suffering from shortness of breath. The unit has been mainly meant for underprivileged patients who are unable to rent or purchase a cylinder on their own. 280 patients have been served through those machines.
