On 16th September 2025, Mukti Child Project organized an interactive awareness session at Baithakkhana Hindi Vidyalaya with nearly 100 non-sponsored children as part of its Risk Management program. The two-hour session, held from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, was designed to help children better understand personal safety and wellbeing.
The session was facilitated by Ms. Riya De, Child Safeguarding Coordinator at Mukti, who guided the children through the crucial topic of safe and unsafe touch. Using stories, discussions, and engaging activities, the program created a safe space for children to share their thoughts and learn important life skills.
Children were encouraged to recognize unsafe situations, understand the difference between appropriate and inappropriate behaviour, and most importantly, seek help from trusted adults when needed. Their enthusiastic participation reflected the importance of creating awareness in an age-appropriate and interactive manner.
By the end of the session, children not only gained vital knowledge about personal safety but also felt empowered to protect themselves and value their own wellbeing. Mukti Child Project will continue to organize such initiatives to safeguard children’s rights and ensure a safer environment for their growth.
