New Jersey, USA – Medha USA, a community-based nonprofit and subsidiary of Kallol of New Jersey, is dedicated to raising funds for grassroots educational development projects for underprivileged children. Formerly known as the Kallol Women’s Forum, the organization was founded to leverage the strength of the Bengali immigrant community to help the less fortunate in their homeland. Medha USA has since expanded its mission to support educational initiatives in both India and the USA, proving that distance is no barrier to compassion.
Through a transparent partnership with Mukti USA, which channels and monitors all contributions, Medha USA ensures that every dollar translates into meaningful change on the ground. Medha USA provides various forms of assistance, including educational supplies, scholarships, teacher salaries, and support for school building construction. This network of support extends to 8 organizations in India, demonstrating their broad and impactful reach.
A Brushstroke of Hope: The Kala Kendra Project
One of the most impactful initiatives made possible by Medha USA’s sustained support is the Kala Kendra project, run by Kalyania NGO in West Bengal’s Nadia district. This unique program combines learning with therapeutic and recreational activities, empowering children from disadvantaged backgrounds through art and cultural expression.
The initiative is coordinated by Ms. Shamita Goswami and a team of dedicated volunteers at Kalyania. Their passion ensures that children not only acquire artistic skills but also develop confidence, resilience, and the courage to dream bigger. The unwavering support of Medha USA is a testament to the power of community and a shining example of how a caring heart can transform lives, one project at a time.
