
Mukti Kishalaya Support School (MKSS), under the guidance of MUKTI, proudly celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June 2025 with great spirit and active participation from students, teachers, guardians, and volunteers. The event aimed to promote the holistic benefits of yoga and its relevance in maintaining physical and mental well-being.
The celebration commenced with a brief introduction on the significance of Yoga Day by Shri Saumitra Misra, a dedicated volunteer of MUKTI, and Smt Priyanka Mazi, an enthusiastic MKSS teacher. Their words set the tone for the day, inspiring young minds to embrace yoga as a lifelong practice.
Students began with warm-up exercises and then moved on to perform a series of sitting and standing asanas. Each posture was accompanied by an explanation of its benefits, helping students understand the importance of aligning body, breath, and mind. Teachers, guardians, and students engaged in discussions about how yoga fosters inner balance and resilience, especially in today’s fast-paced world.
Smt Priyanka Mazi encouraged the children to incorporate yoga into their daily routine to enhance their concentration and overall health. Shri Saumitra Misra also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the role of yoga in achieving harmony in life and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
