Relief means meeting the immediate needs for food, clothing, shelter and medical aid for disaster victims. It provides assistance to save lives. Keeping in mind the panic that arises during any disaster, it is essential to plan before hand to ensure that the distribution of relief material in the immediate aftermath of a disaster is efficient and effective.
Two months have passed after Amphan. Mukti volunteers are still serving the vulnerable of Amphan by supporting them with food items. Thousands were fed and there are more to whom Mukti is committed to reach with help. Mukti in association with “Bay Area Prabasi” is organizing a dry ration distribution program all around its action area to feed the hungry. Mukti distributed total amount of Rice- 11,440 Kg, Daal- 1285 Kg, Potato – 3,000 Kg, Onion – 3,000 Kg and Soybean – 643 Kg.
Mukti is thankful to “Bay Area Prabasi” for their humanitarian support to the victims of Ampahn.
