Cyclone AMPHAN shattered Sunderban : MUKTI provides seeds to farmers at Purba Sridharpur

Cyclone Amphan made landfall in West Bengal on Wednesday afternoon with a wind speed ranging from 155 to 185 km/ph, accompanied by heavy rainfall. After the storm abated, reports of the damages incurred began to emerge which led Mukti to take immediate actions.

A green oasis became barren land due to AMPHAN. Due to the inflow of saline water acres of fertile lands turned into barren lands where farmers cannot farm for many coming years. Crops were burnt due to the gusting wind of AMPHAN. Farmers are in a miserable condition to explain.

To all these farmers also, Mukti has stretched a hand of help. At Purba Sridharpur Mukti has conducted a seed distribution program among the affected farmers.

100 farmers were provided 8 types of seeds such as Bitter Gourd, Asparagus Bean (Borboti ), Pointed Gourd ( Potol ), Beans, Okra ( Ladies finger), Brinjal (Egg Plant) etc.

Mukti also has a plan to help these farmers with some essential commodities and food.
