To showcase and support new business owners, especially women entrepreneurs, the Mukti Livelihood team set up eight stalls at the “Sundarban Agriculture, Education, Handicraft and Environment Faie 2024”, each of which was named after the entrepreneur running it.
Among these stalls, two were filled with cute soft toys, two sparkled with imitation jewelry, and two offered tasty treats like jams, jellies, and papads. The remaining two stalls were special – one for members of the Mukti Community Development Fund (MCDF) and another for the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI).
At the MCDF stall, members proudly displayed and sold their handcrafted products. It was a way for them to share what they’ve created and contribute to community development. On the other hand, the SIDBI stall focused on helping entrepreneurs by providing support, resources, and opportunities.
In simple terms, the stalls of the livelihood team were a cheerful gathering that celebrated different talents, hard work, and the strong spirit of starting and growing a business. Visitors got to enjoy a variety of interesting items and learn about the inspiring stories behind each stall.
