AMPHAN leaves trails at Sunderban : MUKTI provides food at Raidighi

Super cyclone AMPHAN caused major destruction in the Sunderban area. Several mud houses were flattened, uncountable trees were damaged and embankments were breached as winds ripped through the marshy delta at a speed of 180-185 km/ph. Communications were snapped and power supply was disrupted in several places across southern parts of the state through which the cyclone raged. Sunderban became totally separated from the mainland.

At very first step Mukti decided to distribute raw ration to the victims as food is the main means of life to survive. On Monday (25^th May,20) Mukti conducted second food distribution program at Narayanpur Gram Panchayt, Raidighi. 100 people were provided raw rations which includes – Dal (Lentils) – 500 gram, Potato – 2 kg, Soyabin – 500 gram, Flattened rice – 500 gram, Mustard Oil – 500 gram, Puffed rice – 500 gram, Biscuit – 1 packet, Soap – 1 piece.
