250 women (Mukti Sathi) who work in various projects of Mukti- Nursery, roadside plantation, mangrove plantation etc. under “Food for Work”, were provided ration kits by “Iprobono”. To avoid the gathering in this crucial time when the “Omicron” variant is in its surge, Mukti decided to divide the program into two parts. The first part of the distribution program was scheduled for 25th January 2022 Tuesday at 11 am. 150 women were provided food support. The next part of the program was held on 29th January Saturday where 100 more were supported with food items.
Mukti expresses sincere thanks to “Iprobono” for recognizing the hard work of these underprivileged women and supporting them with food.
Ms. Yamina Rizbi – program officer of “Iprobono” attended the distribution program virtually. To assist her Ms. Ankita Kothiyal – Lead CSR- Strategy & Communication of Mukti was present online. From the field, the entire program was organized by Mr. Harisadhan Mandal – project coordinator of Mukti Gram and Mr. Pintu Haldar- project coordinator of Book Bank.
Maintaining all the Covid protocols Mukti organized the program at Nagendrapur Hemanta Kumari High School. The beneficiaries received Rice, Lentil, Red Chili powder, Turmeric powder, salt, mustard oil, refined oil, soybean, jeera powder, detergent, soap, wheat, suji etc.
Mrs. Pratima Sarkar, one of the beneficiaries said that she works for the roadside plantation project of Mukti. She is thankful to Mukti and “Iprobono” for supporting her as well as the other needy women with food.
