On 25 January, the TSS (Talented Students Sponsorship) team of Mukti facilitated an online interaction between a TSS sponsor and her supported student, creating a meaningful space for dialogue, encouragement, and guidance. The meeting brought together Ms. Shiboli Mukhopadhyaya and her sponsored student, Animesh Halder, reaffirming the human connection at the heart of the TSS Programme.
Ms. Shiboli Mukhopadhyaya has been associated with Mukti since the 2018–19 academic year. A Biology teacher at Delhi Public School, Joka, she has been a consistent well-wisher and supporter of both Mukti and the TSS Programme. Her long-standing association reflects a deep commitment to nurturing young learners from underserved backgrounds through sustained mentorship and support.
Animesh Halder is currently pursuing B.Com (5th Semester) at Heramba Chandra College. He hails from Damkal village in South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, and comes from a nuclear family facing considerable financial challenges. His father passed away due to cancer in 2019, and since then, his mother has been the sole earning member of the family, working as a cook at a private school. While his uncle occasionally extends limited financial support, the family continues to navigate economic hardship.
Despite these challenges, Animesh remains determined to build a stable future for himself and his family. Alongside his studies, he takes up private tutoring to supplement the household income. His primary aspiration is to achieve financial stability through education and responsible livelihood opportunities.
During the interaction, Ms. Mukhopadhyaya shared thoughtful guidance, encouraged Animesh to stay focused on his academic journey, and motivated him to strive for both personal and professional growth. The session served as a source of reassurance and inspiration for Animesh, while also reinforcing the role of mentorship in enabling students to overcome adversity.
Such interactions under the TSS Programme highlight Mukti’s commitment to fostering not only financial assistance but also emotional support, encouragement, and long-term relationships that help students pursue their educational goals with confidence and hope.
