MUKTI’s Talented Students Sponsorship (TSS) team hosted “MUKTO CHINTA MUKTI KOTHA” on 26th July 2025, a 3.5-hour discussion forum where sponsored students reflected on “Volunteer Engagement.”
The session began with an introduction to MUKTI’s HEALER AID framework, helping students understand the organisation’s diverse work in health, education, agriculture, livelihoods, environment, rights, empowerment, integrated development, and disaster risk reduction.
Students voiced strong interest in volunteering both within and beyond MUKTI, expressing a desire to support causes like rural education, menstrual hygiene, old-age care, and climate change. They also highlighted barriers such as lack of orientation, social restrictions, and academic pressure, while stressing the importance of mentorship and peer support.
Participants valued small contributions—like helping in relief camps or managing events—as stepping stones to leadership. They unanimously requested more open forums like this to learn, share, and plan community projects.
The forum concluded with recommendations to create a Volunteer Engagement Calendar, form a TSS Volunteer Core Group, and celebrate Volunteer Stories across platforms.
Students left feeling inspired and empowered, viewing volunteerism not just as service, but as a pathway to personal growth and social change.
