MUKTI CRAFTS in collaboration with NabaDiganta Water Management Limited is organizing a 3 month Training Program “Development of Marketable Products” for women beneficiaries of Jatragachi. The goal of this training is to train 90 women beneficiaries of Jatragachi, the skill and art of making soft toys, candles, and eco-special jute bags to make them self-reliable and independent for future.The inaugural ceremony of training programme at Jatragachi centre, New Town was held on 28th February 2021 at 4:30 p.m. The program commenced with an inaugural song, followed by the distribution of flower bouquets to the chief guests, Mr. Aamresh Kumar Das (CEO) and Mr. Shibaji Bakshi (CFO) of NabaDiganta Water Management Limited in the presence of Mr. Sankar Halder and Mr. Debabrata Halder from MUKTI. It was followed by the formal procedure of lamp lighting to seek the blessings of Goddess Saraswati and inauguration of the 3-month training program by the traditional ribbon cutting ceremony by Sankar Halder and the chief guests.
Mr. Sankar Halder, director Mukti, formally welcomed the dignitaries along with distinguished participants in the opening address. He deliberated his talk on Mukti working as a H.E.A.L.E.R in various parts of Sunderban and how the hands-on training for 3 months will be conducted at Jatragachi Centre to facilitate women beneficiaries and make them self-reliable and sell marketable products. All the leaders in their address congratulated Mukti’s new training initiative at Jatragachi and appreciated the good work of volunteers as well as inspired all to keep up the good work. The volunteers of Mukti Jatragachi Centre gave the introduction to the training program with schedule and contents to be imparted in the training. The day ended with vote of thanks and sweet pleasantries for all beneficiaries.
MUKTI looks forward to a successful training program over the next 3 months and strongly encourages women of Jatragachi to come forward and become self-sufficient.
