Let us serve the needy.

In Loving Memory of Mrs. Sikha Dutta: A Heartfelt Tribute to Our Mentor and TSS Sponsor

With heavy hearts, the Mukti TSS team shares the sorrowful news of the passing of our social worker and TSS sponsor, Late Mrs. Sikha Dutta. A valued member of our organization from 2019 to 2024, Mrs. Dutta’s presence and dedication left an indelible mark on Mukti.

Her courageous battle against terminal cancer over the past two months sadly came to an end on March 9, 2024. Mrs. Dutta’s departure has left a void in our Mukti TSS family, as we bid farewell to one of our guiding lights.

Mrs. Dutta’s impact extended beyond our organization. She was a source of inspiration for individuals like Subhrakamal Maity, residing in Narayanibad, South 24 Parganas district. Supporting Subhrakamal since his days in Class XI at Ramakrishna Mission Boys Home High School, Mrs. Dutta instilled in him the importance of perseverance and ambition, guiding him toward his aspirations.

We pay our deepest respects to her memory, cherishing the legacy she leaves behind. May her soul find eternal peace. Though she may no longer walk among us, her spirit will forever reside in our hearts and minds.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Mrs. Dutta’s family. Your loss is shared by us all, and we pray for strength and solace during this trying time.

In remembrance of Mrs. Dutta’s profound impact, we share a touching message from Subhrakamal, expressing his gratitude towards his sponsor:

“I reside in Narayanibad, South 24 Parganas district, and have recently completed my Higher Secondary Examination. My father, a fertilizer businessman, has strived to provide for his two children amidst financial challenges. Mrs. Dutta’s steadfast support during my educational journey was a great hope during my darkest moments. Her sudden passing leaves me heartbroken, as I regret that she will not witness my academic achievements. I am forever indebted to her kindness and generosity and vow to honor her legacy by helping others in need. May her soul rest in peace, and may her guiding light continue to inspire countless lives.”

In memory of Mrs. Sikha Dutta, may her legacy of compassion and support endure through the lives she touched.

We’re sharing a deeply moving message from Sayan Suili, a cherished TSS student who holds a special place in Ms. Dutta’s heart. Ms. Dutta has always held a fondness for him and they shared frequent connections. Their bond was truly profound.

Forever Grateful: A Farewell to Madam Sikha Dutta

“Hi Everyone,

Today, I am trying to draft a small message for a cause that I had no plan to do. With a heavy heart, I am trying to say goodbye to a remarkable woman who touched the lives of so many, Madam Shikha Dutta. I received a call from Mukti, they gave me the tragic news that Madam had left us. She was sick for a while, and she passed away a few days back. It seemed unbelievable; I talked to her over the phone some days back and she assured me that everything was well. Life is indeed incredibly unpredictable. Let me try to pen down her great influence on me while we grieve her departure.

Madam Sikha Dutta was not a relative to me; indeed, we were connected through the Mukti TSS program. This is a great initiative to help financially weak students support their studies. In simple words; I, who was a poor student, was receiving a stipend from them. Through this process, only she came into my life and became a very important person in my life. Although my sponsor was his brother, Mr. N. Dutta, her brother who lives abroad, she was the one with whom I was connected throughout my journey. She was a pillar of strength, a beacon of kindness, and a source of limitless support for me and others like me, especially during my college years. I can’t help but think back on all the ways she made a difference in my life, especially when I was studying. I owe her a tremendous deal for everything that I am today.

The above information was just financial; it does say how great they were but not completely. Yes, Madam gave more than just money. She gave her time, her wisdom, and her boundless love. Her words of encouragement echoed in my ears during moments of doubt, reminding me of my potential and pushing me to strive for excellence.

I still remember the day when I visited their house for the first time; I was a little bit uncomfortable expecting some kind of interview session. But I was shocked by the way I was welcomed. They accepted me with a tremendous amount of love and affection which was not anticipated by me. They have guided me throughout the journey, shared their experiences in life, and guided me in going forward. Once she told me “Tumi to ekhon amader e family r ekjon Hoye gecho” – that was one of the most loveable moments in my life.

She was one of the most compassionate persons I have ever met; she was often checking in on me during the COVID-19 pandemic, and even on our most recent conversation, when I now realize she was already ill and concerned about my well-being. Is there anyone more selfless than that?

But Madam was more than just a benefactor; she was a guide, a confidante, and a source of inspiration. Her resilience in the face of adversity, her unwavering optimism, and her compassionate spirit served as a guiding light for all who knew her.

If her loss is hurting us so much, we can imagine its effect on her family and friends. May god give them the strength to go through this.  In this time of profound grief, please know that you are not alone. Your pain is shared by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Her kindness, her generosity, and her unwavering support have left an indelible mark on our lives, and her memory will forever be cherished in our hearts. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit lives on in the love she shared and the lives she touched.

Let us carry forward her spirit of generosity, her kindness, and her unwavering love, ensuring that her memory lives on in the lives we touch and the hearts we uplift.

Madam, your presence will be deeply missed, but your legacy will continue to inspire us for generations to come. May you rest in peace, knowing that your kindness has left an indelible mark on this world.

Thank you.

Sayan.”
