Mukti Provides Safety Relief to AMPHAN Victims

The news of Cyclone Amphan hitting the Eastern coast of the country and wreaking havoc in states of Odisha and West Bengal came at a time when the country is already battling a large spread of the corona virus, with a record number of cases being reported every day. Both the virus and the cyclone are a threat to human life.

Every cyclone leaves the region helpless, impacting the property and lives of people. It is imperative for us to reach out to the victims. Food, relief materials, temporary shelter, and trauma-relief workshops are the essential immediate needs for the victims. Mukti volunteers are at the forefront in delivering the relief materials.

Mukti not only distributes grocery items but also takes care of the other necessities of human life. Caring about women hygiene and vector-borne diseases such as dengue and malaria, Mukti provided 125 mosquito nets, 75 tarpaulins and 125 sanitary napkins at Narayanpur High School under Namkhana Block. 200 people received relief from Mukti through this campaign.
