Against All Odds: Tumpa Halder’s Journey to Empowerment and Independence
Tumpa Haldar, from a lower-middle-class family, was compelled to return to her parental home due to marital discord. She faced social stigma, emotional distress, and financial hardship during this period. Determined to become independent, she supported herself through small income-generating activities.
Through a neighbour, she heard about the EMT course at Mukti Surya Centre, Raidighi, and successfully completed the training. She is now working as a Trainee Nurse at Raidighi Nursing Home, achieving financial independence, dignity, and renewed confidence.
She expresses her heartfelt gratitude to MUKTI for transforming her life.
