Udaan, an initiative by Mukti, supporting JEE/IIT aspirants from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), recently held a special offline session in Physics and Mathematics for seven selected students. The two-day session, held on January 19-20, 2025, aimed to provide focused, hands-on learning and direct interaction with expert teachers. This offline session complemented Mukti’s primarily online program, offering students a deeper engagement with complex subjects.
The classes, led by Mr. Ushnish Sangiri (Physics) and Mr. Shatrudha Prasad (Mathematics), covered problem-solving strategies and application-based techniques. The sessions allowed ample time for students to interact with teachers, clarify doubts, and participate in tests to track their progress.
To ensure the well-being of all participants, Mukti provided food, lodging, and transportation allowances for the students, their parents, and the guide teacher. Accommodations were arranged near Sealdah railway station, and nutritious meals were served throughout the session. Study materials, including a pen-drive with resources for Class XI and XII, were also distributed to all participants.
The feedback from both students and parents was overwhelmingly positive, with many appreciating the opportunity for in-person learning. Students felt more confident in tackling difficult problems, and the hands-on approach was seen as a significant boost to their understanding. Parents also expressed their gratitude for the comprehensive support provided, highlighting the positive impact on their children’s academic journey.
Looking ahead, some students and parents suggested that Mukti consider offering more offline sessions to complement online learning and provide additional support, such as laptops or broadband connections for better access to resources.
Udaan’s offline JEE/IIT classes were a successful initiative that demonstrated its commitment to providing equitable educational opportunities. By removing logistical and financial barriers, Mukti continues to empower students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, helping them realize their potential and excel in their academic pursuits.
