Mukti Hosts Workshop for Child Path Model Curriculum Facilitators

The Mukti CHILD Project Office was abuzz with energy as the organization hosted a vital training session for facilitators of the 120-hour Child Path Model Curriculum. The session was held on 12th March 2025. It was an extensive training program aimed at empowering facilitators with the necessary tools and skills to effectively deliver the curriculum in the field.

The workshop was led by Mukti CHILD Project team and featured expert guidance from Ms. Kirtimayi Mishra, Operations Director at Child International India, and Ms. Ritika Brahmachari, Regional Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at Child International India. Together, they facilitated an enriching session for 24 participants, who will be responsible for delivering the curriculum to children as part of Mukti’s ongoing commitment to child development, health and education.

Throughout the day, the participants engaged in an array of interactive learning activities designed to enhance their facilitation skills and understanding of the curriculum. Key topics covered included:

• Lesson Preparation and Curriculum Contextualization: Participants were introduced to the essential concepts of lesson planning and adapting the curriculum to suit diverse learning environments.
• Session Facilitation Techniques: This segment focused on role-playing exercises that allowed facilitators to practice their presentation and communication skills in realistic scenarios.
• Effective Listening and Managing Constructive Group Discussions: Emphasis was placed on the importance of active listening and creating an inclusive space for open dialogue within groups.
• Strategies for Managing Difficult Conversations and Situations: Participants learned practical techniques for handling challenging discussions, ensuring that facilitators are equipped to navigate sensitive issues with confidence and professionalism.

The day culminated in a focused planning session where participants collaboratively developed actionable plans for the successful launch of the Child Path Model Curriculum in the field. This session gave participants a chance to clarify objectives, set timelines, and ensure a smooth transition from training to implementation.

As the first step in a comprehensive series of training sessions, this workshop underscores Mukti’s dedication to providing high-quality support to children in need. The facilitators left the workshop not only with enhanced skills but also with a clear sense of purpose and readiness to begin their important work.
