Ms. Anisha B. Chacko, Programme Officer at HCL Foundation, visited the field activities of MUKTI from 5th to 7th February 2025, engaging with the community and exploring several ongoing projects.
During her visit, Ms. Anisha began her journey at Purba Sridharpur, where she met with the women of the Self-Help Groups (SHGs) involved in MUKTI’s environment project. She interacted with them to gain insights into their work and the impact of the project on the local community. The SHG women discussed their efforts in promoting sustainable practices, environmental conservation, and their collective drive towards empowering their village.
Ms. Anisha also met with the village committee members of MUKTI to discuss the overall activities being carried out under MUKTI’s various initiatives. This meeting provided an opportunity to share updates on ongoing projects, identify challenges, and strategize on future goals.
The next leg of Ms. Anisha’s visit included a tour of the KPMG project site, where she observed the successful implementation of several key initiatives. She also visited the Bio-village in Kankandighi, where she witnessed first-hand the practice of organic farming, the use of bio-gas technology, and other sustainable agricultural practices aimed at promoting environmental well-being.
On 7th February, Ms. Anisha concluded her visit with a meeting at MUKTI’s city office in Garia. The meeting involved discussions with MUKTI officials, where they deliberated on the foundation’s ongoing projects, the progress made, and areas for further collaboration to ensure the continued success and impact of these initiatives.
Ms. Anisha’s visit reinforced the importance of partnership and community engagement in driving positive change, and MUKTI looks forward to further strengthening its collaboration with HCL Foundation to enhance the impact of its initiatives in the region.
