MUKTI’s education projects commemorated Teacher’s Day with a virtual celebration, aimed at fostering a deeper sense of belonging among the dedicated educators who teach diverse age groups at the 73 Mukti Support Schools (MSS) and 37 Mukti Kishalay Support Schools (MKSS). This event, broadcast live on MUKTI’s YouTube channel and hosted on the Zoom platform, brought together teachers, staff, and students for a meaningful tribute to the invaluable role of educators.
The program opened with a heartfelt song composed and performed by Rabin Halder, a teacher from Damkal MSS, setting the tone for a day of reflection and appreciation. MUKTI Founder and President, Sankar Halder, extended warm greetings and heartfelt thanks to all teachers for their dedication to shaping the education and character of their students. He invoked the legacy of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, emphasizing the crucial and transformative role teachers play in nurturing young minds.
The event featured several notable speakers who shared their insights on education. Mentor Shri Subodh Biswas delivered an inspiring speech on the importance of technology in modern education, highlighting its integration into learning environments. Dr. Alokananda Ghosh discussed the significance of co-curricular activities, stressing how they contribute to students’ moral and character development. Dr. Chandrima Chakraborty eloquently spoke on the profound influence of teachers in guiding and nurturing students to achieve their full potential, creating bonds that last a lifetime.
Mr. Madhusudan Bairagi emphasized the role of teachers as the pillars of society, instilling values such as knowledge, wisdom, and compassion in the next generation. Educator Shri Samar Kumar Das lauded MUKTI’s holistic approach to education, which nurtures students through value-based learning, transforming lives in the process. Biswajit Bera, a teacher from Kankpukur MSS, beautifully compared teachers to gardeners, who provide continuous guidance, support, and encouragement throughout a student’s educational journey.
Ananya Chatterjee, Senior Program Manager (Education), skillfully hosted the entire event, ensuring a smooth and engaging flow of presentations.
As a token of gratitude, MUKTI presented a digital certificate of appreciation to all its dedicated teachers across MSS and MKSS. The program was enthusiastically viewed by teachers, field coordinators, project coordinators, and students during its live broadcast on the morning of September 5th.
