Mr. Siddharth Majumdar, Chairman of the WBSSC board, expressed his admiration for Mukti’s wide-ranging work and discussed the scholarships not only as financial assistance but also as a source of honor and respect.
Mr. Satyajeet Tewary, Manager of Philanthropy at Anmol Private Limited, acted as the representative for Mr. Dilip Kumar Choudhary, Director of Anmol. He spoke of Anmol’s belief in conducting business ethically, and described Anmol’s myriad CSR activities across India, focusing on education, healthcare, and livelihood. He expressed Anmol’s satisfaction with the Mukti partnership and the willingness to continue their contribution to the social development of the Sundarbans and the students.
Mr. Mahesh Pansari from Primarc Projects Pvt Ltd highlighted the longstanding association with Mukti and conveyed being consistently impressed by the activities of Mukti during his numerous visits to the Sundarbans. He said Mukti’s work aligned very well with Primarc’s tagline, “Together is progress.”
Praveer Mitra, a veteran Rotarian affiliated with the 32 Rotary clubs of Kolkata, expressed his admiration for Mukti and shared some notable examples of the social work done by revered monks of the Ramakrishna Mission.
Dwipen Ghosh, a member of the New Jersey-based Garden State Cultural Association, spoke of the significance of cultivating affection for their chosen profession, and the importance of combining personal development with academic pursuits. He emphasized the importance of never compromising one’s values and following one’s intuition, urging the students to overcome surrounding temptations and stride forward.
Ms. Karpurika Roychowdhury from Mukti Australia highlighted the prolonged involvement of several individuals within Mukti Australia in the TSS program. She expressed her pride and happiness in the achievements of the students.
TSS sponsor Mr. Rabindranath Ganguly emphasized a longstanding association with Mukti and expressed his happiness in the success of the student he has sponsored for the past four years, who graduated from the Institute of Post Graduate Medical College with an MBBS degree. He stressed the importance of being sensitive to global socio-political issues, and in particular to the world’s foremost issue of environmental crisis.
Mr. Soumitra Biswas, advisor to the board, highlighted a five-year association with Mukti. He referred to Swami Supurnananda’s talk, emphasizing the significance of acknowledging incognito benefactors as well as our parents in our lives. He gave examples from his own life to illustrate these points.
