Secretary’s Welcome Speech on 20th Foundation Day

In the inaugural ceremony, Mr. Satyajit Roy, the secretary of Mukti, delivered his welcome speech virtually.

Ladies and gentlemen, Mukti volunteers, employees, board members, cherished supporters and guests from near and far, a warm greeting and a very good morning to each and every one of you.

On this auspicious occasion of Mukti’s 20th Foundation Day, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of you who have been an integral part of our journey. Your firm support and dedication have been the cornerstone of Mukti’s success over the past two decades. Without your steadfast commitment, Mukti would not have been able to touch the lives of so many individuals in need. Together, we have traversed many roads, and I am confident that together, we will continue to serve our communities with even greater fervor in the days ahead.

While I deeply regret not being able to join you all in person today, I am grateful for the opportunity to address you virtually and witness the ceremony unfold. As tradition dictates, I will now take a moment to reflect on the achievements of the past year as the Secretary of Mukti.

Foremost among our accomplishments is the milestone achievement of registering Mukti as the first NGO in East India and the 11th NGO in India on the Social Stock Exchange. This achievement not only elevates Mukti’s status but also opens up new avenues for sustainable funding and impact. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the dedicated teams and advisory board members whose tireless efforts have made this achievement possible.

Furthermore, Mukti has been honored with the HCL Grant, placing us among the top three NGOs in India in the Environment category. This recognition is a testament to our commitment to creating a positive impact on the environment and society at large.

In addition, I am pleased to announce the expansion of our partnerships with organizations such as KMPG, VIVO, Anmol, SBI, and Shyama Prasad Mookerjee Port Trust. Their collaboration underscores their confidence in Mukti’s mission and vision, and we are immensely grateful for their support.

As Mukti continues to grow, it is imperative that we uphold our moral responsibilities and work together as a cohesive team. Regardless of our individual roles or locations, we must strive to harmonize our efforts and complement each other’s strengths. Let us embrace diversity and foster a culture of mutual respect and understanding within our organization.

Furthermore, as we embark on this journey of growth, it is essential that we adhere to established protocols, regulations, and processes. Documentation of our work is crucial for transparency and accountability, particularly to our valued funders who entrust us with their support.

Moreover, I urge each of you to prioritize your personal and professional development. In today’s fast-paced society, continuous learning and skill enhancement are paramount. Mukti is committed to providing opportunities for capability building, and I encourage you to seize these opportunities with enthusiasm.

In closing, I encourage you all to embrace this day with optimism and enthusiasm. Do not hesitate to engage with our board members, ask questions, and seek understanding. Together, let us strive for excellence and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
