Mukti’s 20th Foundation Day: Journey Through Two Decades of Impact

Mukti commemorated its 20th Foundation Day on the 9th of March 2024, a Saturday filled with joy and pride, at Sibnath Shastri Sadan in Jayanagar, South 24 Parganas. The event saw the gathering of 800+ enthusiastic participants. The distinguished gathering included Mukti Executive Board Members, 14 special guests, 138 MCDF (Mukti Community Development Fund) members, 148 MSS (Mukti Support School) teachers, 36 teachers and project coordinators from MKSS (Mukti Kishalaya Support School), 6 students from the TSS (Talented Student Sponsorship) project, 46 SAM (Sustainable Agriculture Movement) farmers and staff, 113 Integrated Development project staff, 14 staff from the livelihood projects, 123 members of the Health project, 156 members of the Rights project, 31 city office staff, and 3 associates from the MIT  (Mukti Information Technology) and MEE (Mukti Employment Exchange) projects. In addition, representatives from other NGOs, local authorities, political figures, social workers, Mukti partners, and numerous well-wishers, and media reporters were also in attendance.

The celebration served as a unique opportunity for the Mukti family to unite and commemorate its rich history alongside the community, employees, and supporters. The festivities commenced at 9 AM and continued until 5 PM, attracting attendees from various parts of West Bengal and even abroad, who traveled great distances to partake in the occasion. For those Mukti supporters residing overseas, unable to attend in person, the ceremony was made accessible online, creating a truly global celebration. The seamless collaboration and dedication of all participants contributed to the resounding success of the event.

The day’s agenda unfolded with a refreshing yoga session, followed by the felicitation of guests, a compelling speech from the Secretary, and a series of engaging presentations by the teams overseeing the eight projects throughout the year. Highlights included the NSE listing ceremony, the launch of the MSS magazine, the President’s insightful speech, a captivating cultural program, and an award ceremony to recognize outstanding contributions.

The day provided a moment to reflect on the challenges overcome and the resilient bonds forged within the organization. It served as a poignant reminder of the humble beginnings that laid the foundation for the remarkable journey undertaken by Mukti. Heartfelt gratitude was extended to all supporters, co-workers, and well-wishers who have consistently offered unwavering support to Mukti throughout its remarkable journey.
