Let us serve the needy.

MUKTI SATHI – A Future Direction of Mukti

Newly elected Secretary Mr. Satyajit Roy explained his view over who is a MUKTI SATHI, what will be his/her values and how will he/she achieve those in a very compact but interesting way.

A MUKTI SATHI is the main pillar of the three most important pillars of the foundation of Mukti. These three pillars are MUKTI SATHI, our partners and community business. A MUKTI SATHI must be healthy with high morals to serve the society. He or she must have the values of honesty, respect, transparency and compassion.

The qualities that will transform a normal human being to a true MUKTI SATHI are-

Healthy Diet: A healthy diet is one that helps maintain or improve overall health. A healthy diet provides the body with essential nutrition: fluid, macronutrients, micronutrients, and adequate calories. A healthy diet may contain fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, and includes little to no processed food and sweetened beverages.

Sattvic Diet: Sattvic diet is a diet based on foods that contain one of the three yogic qualities / guna (tri-guna:  Sattva, Rajas, Tamas) known as sattva. These foods are pure, natural, energy-containing and essential. These contains nuts, grains, fresh fruits, fresh green vegetables, milk, legumes, honey, herbs, Indian spices etc.

Health Exercise: Regular health exercise for at least 30 mints everyday is needed to keep ourselves healthy. These exercises may include free hand exercises, Yoga asanas, any exercise guided by professional trainers.

Mental Wellbeing: According to the World Health Organization (WHO), mental health is “a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities / potentials, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community”. Ways to improve mental wellbeing – Take proper rest (sleep) and give time to yourself, connect with good people around, think positive & high, do regular health exercise, practice yogic breathing exercises etc.

Value Education: Value education is a process of improving moral value with you. This helps you to see society from other perspective. This gives you a chance to help you to make a better world for your successors.

Volunteering: Serving anyone beyond you and your related family unconditionally. MUKTI SATHI will be engaged in regular volunteering activities. Time, effort and expertise are the means of volunteering activity.

Responsibility of Society: MUKTI SATHI is liable and responsible for society and betterment of society similar way as everyone has liability and responsibility to make their children grow and successful in their life.

At the end of his explanation, Mr. Roy requested MUKTI SATHI to took a pledge-

Audiences stood up, put their right hands on their chest and took the pledge.

“As a MUKTI SATHI, I pledge today that I will take care of my own health and the health of others. I will regularly engage in social service as much as I can and extend my helping hands to others. As a responsible MUKTI SATHI, I will engage in social work with honesty, respect for others & myself, compassion and transparency.”

We are hopeful that his motivational speech will encourage hundreds in future and they will try to become a true MUKTI SATHI.
