Students of Rudranagar, Sonakhali, Sonatikari, Menakapur and Companychar MSS decorated the pictures and statues of Rabindranath Tagore with flowers and garlands. They paid tribute to Tagore by organizing and participating in various cultural programs by reciting his poems, staging his plays, singing his immortal songs and performing dance. Rudranagar MSS students, teachers and parents have participated in the procession. Teachers motivated the students by illustrating the life and works of Tagore to the students through their speeches. ‘Viswa Kavi’ was a visionary who revolutionized education and literature in India. He invested his Nobel Prize money in building the campus of “Shantineketan” and a town in Bolpur, West Bengal. He didn’t just change the map of Bengali literature in India but was also the linchpin of the Indian freedom struggle through his music and poems.
