Mukti Nurtures Safe and Respectful Workspaces

On September 29, 2023, Mukti took the initiative to foster a safe and respectful workplace environment by organizing a comprehensive one-day training session on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) for its city office staff. This essential training initiative was made possible through a collaboration with iProbono, a well-known name in the field of social justice, who has been instrumental in helping Mukti develop robust policies. The training session was skilfully facilitated by Ms. Karuvaki Mahanti fromiProbono.

About twenty city staff members participated in the session, which delved into the core components of the PoSH Act and their significance. Participants gained a deep understanding of the shared responsibilities that both employees and the organization bear in preventing incidents of sexual harassment within the workplace.

Mukti firmly believes that this training will serve as a catalyst for empowerment, equipping all its staff with the knowledge and tools needed to actively contribute to a more inclusive and harassment-free work environment. Looking ahead, we are resolute in our commitment to extending this critical training to our field staff, ensuring that our entire organization operates with safety, respect, and equality as paramount principles in its day-to-day operations.
