Mukti Is Preparing to Decorate the Village Roads With Bright Winter Flowers

Flowers are colorful, fragrant, and exude the joy of life. MUKTI is decorating the roads of MUKTI gram with the annuals, i.e., ones that are raised from seeds, grow, bloom, seed & exhaust them during a season. Seasonal flower seeds are being sown right next to the hedge work on both sides of the 1 km 800-meter road stretching from Purba Sridharpur Ration Shop to Jogen Mondaler Ghat in Purba Sridharpur (MUKTI Gram) under Nagendrapur GP. The sowing work has been started from 30^th October 2021, Saturday and is continuing.

October- November is the perfect time to sown the seeds of winter flowers. These seasonal flowering plants have the advantage of a tremendous variety of color, size & form. They occupy the space in less time & can be easily replaced. Among the winter flowers, the seeds of Cosmos species are mostly sown. So far 1 kg of seeds has been sown which will produce 40,000-45,000 saplings.

3-4 women workers are working for the beautification. They are sowing, watering and will nurture the plants. Instead of this work, they get monthly food support from MUKTI under “Food for Work”.

Once the beautification work of this road is completed, Mukti will start planting seasonal flower seeds on other roads of MUKTI gram.
