Mukti is Constructing Dome Roof for the Guest House

Mukti has started to construct a new guest house, in imitation of one of the model houses at Mukti library premises from January 2022. The guest house is being constructed on an area of 600 (30’ X 20’) square feet. The building is being constructed by following the construction techniques of the model house.

From 2^nd May 2022, Monday Mukti has started to construct the dome roof of the guest house. Dome, in architecture, the hemispherical structure evolved from the arch, usually forming a ceiling or roof. It is being constructed from masonry and concrete. This is a highly-efficient structure similar to arches. It is self-supporting, stabilized by the force of gravity acting on their weight to hold them in compression. It is able to span large areas and requires no intermediary columns, creating a free space below.

Building a dome is a lot of hard work and time-consuming. 4 laborers and 2 masons are constructing the structure very accurately using only 100 bricks in 1 day. It will take about a month to complete the roof.
