Mukti installed two new incubator machines for high volume production of poultry birds at Purba Sridharpur, model village. The machines will be used for hatching and rearing chicks of different species of domestic chickens and other birds. The machines were installed at “Mukti Community Hatching Center” at the house of Mrs. Bhadduri Purkait, a “Mukti Sathi”. Mrs. Bhadduri Purkait is the supervisor of the hatching process and she is also in charge of taking care of the machines.
600 eggs can be laid per week in three machines. It takes about 25 days for the eggs to hatch. 70% of the eggs that are laid are expected to hatch and produce babies.
