While delivering the speech Mr. Sankar Halder expressed clearly the aims and objectives of the joint venture of Mukti and ASFHM. Both joined hands together for the upliftment and overall development of society. The faculties affiliated with ASFHM occupy an important place in society. They are the craftsman who creates a true human being and society. Only teachers can go beyond conventional education to expand the scope of value-added education among students. The role of an ideal teacher is immense and inevitable when the question comes to women’s empowerment. The contribution of the teachers’ community is very important to free the girls from all these social curses of child marriage and gambling and to make them self-reliant by brightening the light of education within them. Mukti has expertise while ASFHM has a strong interest to serve society. He believes that these two organizations together with goodwill will defile society.
Mr. Satyajit Ray discusses the areas of Mukti’s work as a HEALER -Health, Education, Agriculture, Livelihood, Environment and Right. With these six objectives, Mukti is moving forward with the goal of integrated development. He gives special emphasis on Mukti Support School and Women Empowerment.
Mukti is having 24 operational MSS serving more than 3,500 students yearly. Mukti is using local resources to implement creative activities. Educated youths are teaching the students. Students are receiving the benefit of “Book Bank” from where they can get syllabus-based and reference books. In the Covid situation too students are not led behind and are continuing their studies with the help of these support centers.
Mukti serves as a catalyst or motivator in providing financial support to women’s associations (SHG), self-reliance through nurseries, arrangements for Mangrove Plantation in the Sundarbans, etc. To make women aware of their rights as well as more intensive implementation, it is important to come forward with the installation. Mukti is proud of having 25 MCDF branches with 30,000 members.
Everyone present at the meeting praised the initiatives of Mukti. The members of the ASFHM organization have taken the pledge to follow the path of Mukti and assist Mukti.
