Ankita holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and Corporate Social Responsibilities. With a commendable tenure of 10 years in the realm of public service, Ankita has consistently showcased her dedication and expertise in various impactful roles.
She served as a District Youth Officer, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, under the UNDP banner. She worked with NABARD, where she emerged as a pioneer in the successful implementation of E Shakti in Uttarakhand District.
In 2020, Ankita brought her experience and passion for social change to Mukti, where she assumed the role of Lead CSR. Since joining the organization, she has been instrumental in steering Mukti towards new heights of success. Her strategic leadership and dedication have been pivotal in registering the organization on various esteemed platforms, including UNECOSOC, NSE-SSE and many more.

Monami Mitra, a graduate with a PG Diploma in Human Resource Management, brings with her a wealth of experience totaling 13 years in the Social Sector. She has played pivotal roles in various capacities, including serving as an Administrator for Education Projects at Calcutta Rescue. Monami has also contributed as a Center Manager in the CSR Skill Development Project of La Martinier SEOMP Society and worked as a Sub-Editor at Loka Kalyan Parishad. Her career began as a Teacher at Sitanath Sishu Shikha Mandir.”

With a total experience of 14 years, Paramita Panja is a seasoned Cost and Management Accountant. She has garnered over 11 years of expertise in the manufacturing and automobile sectors, excelling in the role of Manager-Accounts. Additionally, Paramita brings 3 years of valuable experience in the social sector as Lead Accountant. Her diverse skill set and strong foundation make her a valuable professional.

With a total experience of 30 years in education sector, Ananya is a passionate educationalist who brought in her diverse skill set, strong foundation and valuable expertise to Mukti from August 2024. She is a Post graduate with B.ED and TTC. A certified Teacher trainer by Commonwealth Education Trust (UK), Ananya started her career way back in 1994 as a teacher and continued to work in leading CBSE schools of Kolkata in different administrative capacities for 23 years. She led pre-primary and primary sections of DPS and also represented the institutions in the state and national level. She has been working in the development sector for last 7 years to provide holistic education to the underprivileged and represented organisations in various National and International conferences. Her all-time favourite thought is “one hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove… but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child.”

Srijita Sarkar, a dedicated team member of Mukti, holds a Master’s in Accounting with 10+ years of experience working in NGOs. She is passionately committed to the MSS program at Mukti. Her cross-functional expertise spans internal and external stakeholder management, strategic project planning, and resource coordination across multiple value chains. Srijita brings strong leadership, effective communication, and comprehensive project management skills, complemented by problem-solving, analytical acumen, budget mapping, and procurement planning abilities. Devoted to advancing Mukti’s mission, especially in uplifting talented students in Sundarban, she is determined to make a lasting socio-economic impact on both the students and society at large.

Ms Sonamon Bose, done Masters in Social work and a PG Diploma in psychological counseling and have been working in NGO as Program Manager since last ten years with a proven track record of driving successful initiatives and managing impactful programs. She possess a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of nonprofit operations, and have consistently demonstrated the ability to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the organization’s mission and goals. Project planning, management, execution, leadership, foresight for resource planning and management, communication are few of my skills which helps to excel in building and nurturing collaborative partnerships with stakeholders, including government agencies, community leaders, and donors.

Nandita is a program manager of the Rights and Awareness program of Mukti holding a Bachelor degree in Anthropology. It is her first job in the Development sector. She joined Mukti in 2021. She and her team are collectively working to facilitate the community members to actively engage in the development process through an inclusive participatory approach. Her contribution is helping to develop different rights-related perspectives among the members of the organization as well as the community people.

Ujjwal Maity, having completed a Master’s in Rural Studies & Community Development, is a competent and diligent professional with a decade of proven excellence. He has successfully led Livelihood and Government projects, providing guidance and mentorship to teams. His expertise includes Operations Management and extensive experience in working with NGOs in remote locations.

Pranay Patra is a development professional with over 5 years of experience in the development sector. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and has previously worked on environment and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) related projects, which has equipped him with a unique perspective on content creation.

Currently, Pranay works as a Content Developer at MUKTI, where he leverages his multifaceted background to craft compelling content that engages and informs audiences. His passion for wildlife and sustainability further influences his work, allowing him to connect deeply with the themes he writes about. Through his creative approach and keen understanding of development issues, Pranay plays a vital role in enhancing MUKTI’s online presence.

Saswati Mukherjee, Master in Psychotherapy and Counselling with a total experience of 32 years in Corporate & Social sector. Out of that she has worked 17 years as a HR & Admin in TATA group then she came into the Skills Development sector. Apart from that she is a Psychological counsellor and Life skill trainer and very passionate about that. Her main area of work is with the student group, especially adolescents.

Biplab Brahma as a professional expert and broaden his horizon in respective field and make a significant contribution through his knowledge , skills and personal commitment for professional satisfaction of organisation and individual excellence with team building and team work. Biplab Brahma completed his bachelor degree in commerce and involved with this social development sector from last 24 yrs. Biplab Brahma always try to vindicate his activation coupling up with tolerance , tenacity, good communication skills in every leaps and bound with confidence. He work as a program manager, senior program manager in various national and international organisations in west bengal and also outside west bengal too.

Dr. Amit Kumar Dey is an accomplished environmental scientist with a Ph.D. in Environmental Science, a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Law & Policy, and an M.Sc in Conservation Biology. He is currently working as Program Manager – Environment at Mukti. His multidisciplinary expertise spans Ecotoxicology, Environmental Sustainability, Limnology, and Herpetology, reflecting a deep commitment to ecological research and conservation. Dr. Dey has contributed significantly to both academic and applied environmental science through his associations with renowned institutions such as GCELT Kolkata, BNHS VSZ Assam, UGC-DAE-CSR Kolkata, and The University of Burdwan. His work integrates scientific rigor with policy awareness, aiming to foster sustainable solutions for pressing environmental challenges which aligns with the organisation’s goals and his contribution will be aiding us in achieving assessment of Carbon Sequestration Potential, Carbon Credit and Net Zero.

Mousumi Gupta, a master’s in Clinical Psychology, is a distinguished professional with over 24 years of expertise in the social development sector. Passionately committed to Mukti’s CHILD project, she is dedicated to empowering urban slum communities by nurturing confident young adults equipped with the right mindset, skillset, and toolset to create a positive impact in their communities.

Mousumi has a proven track record in managing and implementing field interventions, overseeing financial and administrative operations, and excelling in human resources, stakeholder engagement, partnership management, and child protection. Her strong leadership and problem-solving skills enable her to inspire teams, forge strategic relationships, and deliver measurable outcomes.

Her core competency in child protection has been instrumental in embedding child safeguarding measures into program execution, ensuring safety and compliance at every level.

Susmita Bhattacharjee is a development professional with over 25 years of experience in project management, strategic planning, gender equality, SHG empowerment, livelihood promotion, and community development. She has worked with several renowned national and international organizations, including Egis India Pvt. Ltd, Mukti, Rajarhat Prasari, OFFER, La Martiniere SEOMP Society, Don Bosco Tech, HelpAge India, and Loka Kalyan Parishad.
Her extensive fieldwork across West Bengal and other states includes implementing gender-responsive programs, conducting GESI audits, leading humanitarian responses, and building the capacity of grassroots institutions. With a Master’s degree in Sociology from Calcutta University and certifications from reputed institutions like BIRD (Lucknow), NIRDPR (Hyderabad), AKSHARA, ISMW (Ahmedabad), and KILA (Kerala), Susmita brings strong technical knowledge alongside practical community engagement skills.
She excels in delivering sustainable, participatory solutions through effective stakeholder coordination, training, research, and documentation. Her contributions have consistently focused on marginalized populations, especially women and the elderly, emphasizing rights-based approaches and inclusive governance.
