An eagerly anticipated event took place at Mukti Gram Purba Shridharpur on the 18th of June 2023, when the President and Founder of the Kolkata Foundation, Mr. Dhritiman Banerjee, came on a field visit. He oversaw and assessed the progress of the gram clinic, Swastha Shongini, and Sahoshini projects, all of which are supported by the Kolkata Foundation.
Accompanied by two dedicated program managers, Mr. Banerjee’s visit demonstrated his personal commitment and investment in these initiatives. The visit commenced with the grand inauguration of the newly established gram clinic. In the presence of Mukti President, Mr. Shankar Halder, the event served as an opportune time to discuss the future activities of the clinic.
Following the opening ceremony, Mr. Banerjee engaged with the community health workers from the Swastha Shongini program, as well as the dedicated rights-based community workers from the Sahoshini program. In a remarkable display of approachability and informality, Mr. Banerjee fostered an atmosphere of camaraderie, aiming to comprehend the challenges and opportunities that these teams encountered in their tireless efforts.
The two teams reciprocated his warmth and enthusiasm, wholeheartedly participating in the conversation and sharing their valuable insights regarding the future trajectory of the projects. The exchange of thoughts and ideas was vibrant and productive, highlighting the dedication and passion of the Mukti community team.
The presence of Mr. Banerjee, as a representative of a sponsoring organization, was a big morale-boost to the members of the Mukti community team.
